The Dragon Egg® Mk II is a 25+ liter backpack suitable for short patrol missions or as a larger EDC pack. It features three zippered compartments. The main compartment includes an internal hydration sleeve and a mesh pocket. It also has a central tube exit for a hydration tube. The rear compartment is equipped with a padded sleeve that can securely carry wideband radios or up to a 15" laptop. The front pocket of the Direct Action® Dragon Egg® has a zippered mesh pocket and an internal organizer for notes, GPS, writing tools, and other small essentials. The two redesigned side pockets can carry small and flat items. The pockets are equipped with elastic for expansion, allowing them to accommodate a standard mess kit or a 1-liter Nalgene water bottle. The Direct Action® Dragon Egg® also features a soft zippered pocket for sunglasses, cell phones, etc. The pack also includes a daisy chain webbing along the front panel stitching for attaching carabiners or similar gear to the pack. The MOLLE/PALS-compatible laser-cut system makes the backpack fully modular while maintaining a low-profile look. Thanks to its egg-shaped design, the pack has a smaller height and width compared to other packs with similar capacity, making it more comfortable when used with belt kits or ballistic vests. The suspension system is based on comfortable shoulder straps and internal reinforcement on the back. The detachable waist belt can be stowed away. It is made of durable 500D Cordura® nylon fabric with a water-repellent coating. The Combat Vent System® (CVS), an innovative ventilation system used in the backpack, provides increased comfort for users. It consists of contoured foam profiles with multiple air channels combined with ventilated mesh. The CVS® keeps the pack off the user's back, increasing air circulation to prevent heat buildup and sweating, while the rigid foam ensures comfort and stability.
