The Extrema Ratio BF1 CT Black is a basic folding knife designed for everyday use, known for its simplicity, essential features, and functionality. This knife is available in two blade configurations: Tanto and Drop, and two handle configurations: Classic and Tactical.
The "tactical" handles feature a design with concentric circles and perforations for weight reduction and improved grip. On the other hand, the "classic" handles are solid with recessed planes to keep the opening pins flush with the closed knife profile.
All blades are blackened through a process of zirconium carbonitriding, while the handles are blackened through high-thickness anodic oxidation. The blades have a flat grind and particularly thick and sturdy tips, a distinctive feature of the series.
An innovative feature of this knife is the reversible clip positioned on the back of the blade. This clip wraps around the inside of the knife so that when inserted in a pocket, the tang remains hidden while the clip remains visible. The blade locking mechanism uses the proven "liner lock." In this version, the knife is equipped with a Tanto blade.
